Fortis Bank Nederland is a financial services provider that offers a broad range of products and services to individuals, businesses and institutions in the Netherlands and abroad.

Our main activities are retail banking, private banking, commercial banking and merchant banking. Most of our financial services are provided under the Fortis Bank Nederland brand, while our private banking operations are conducted under the MeesPierson label.

As at 1 January 2008, Fortis Bank Nederland had total assets of more than EUR 270 billion and a workforce of 9,800. We have activities in 25 countries across the globe and are the fourth biggest bank in the Netherlands.

Our Retail Banking business serves more than 2.1 million customers and over 50,000 small and medium-sized companies from 160 branches throughout the country. Wealthy individuals, their families and their businesses have access to MeesPierson’s private wealth management services in the Netherlands, Guernsey and Curaçao. Merchant Banking, a leader in the Netherlands and abroad, offers large companies, institutional clients and govern-ment organisations a wide spectrum of international services. Commercial Banking caters to medium-sized and large companies with turnover between EUR 2.5 million and EUR 250 million.
